On Friday night, July 19th, about 150 passengers, with ticket in hand, waited two hours on the San Miguel dock because in the 9 p.m. boat was at maximum capacity.
Protesters said that the shipping company oversold tickets and they had suffered economic damages for the delay.It was not until 11:00 p.m. that they were able to board a ship to transport them to the mainland. Staff of the Port Authority said that those affected must file a complaint against the shipping company before the Federal Consumer (PROFECO); that they could only intervene if the overseas company had not returned the money for the tickets.

TCS Community Assistance
TCS provides assistance to local individuals and families with emergency food, medical expenses and medication. We help with school related expenses for children in the immediate neighborhood (Colonia Independencia). We have a ""drop in" meal policy, we feed the hungry no questions asked.
In addition we publish articles that feature community programs in need of donations and volunteers. We encourage both residents and visitors to give back to this island paradise by volunteering and donating to these existing community programs.
TCS has successful matched those that want to help and those in need for many years. During the Pandemic, our resources go to the Community Kitchens that are feeding hundreds in Cozumel.
