State Designates COVID-19 Care Hospitals

Our Governor, Carlo Joaquin has designated hospitals in strategic areas across the state to deal strictly with the COVID-19 patients.

I thought he mentioned Cozumel General Hospital. However, in an interview Cozumel’s Municipal President, stated that realistically we did not have typical hospitals in Cozumel.

Because of their size, Cozumel Hospitals are more like clinics. In other words, if the pandemic gets out of hand, we need every public and private hospital on the island.

Private Hospitals Helping with COVID-19 Crisis

The private hospitals have donated equipment and COVID-19 safety accessories to the public hospitals. Both State and Local Government have sung their praises.
