Javier Panero Our Friend and Churro Guy
Recently, the following article was posted by one of the Dive shops. I am trilled and proud to repost this for our friend Javier. He has become an institution in Cozumel selling his churros door to door. Javier has been a valuable friend to the English-speaking community, providing a wealth of information and assistance.
His Churros:
If you have not had Javier’s churros, you owe it to yourself to try them. Not only are they delicious, but you are in for a treat just in meeting him! If you order a bucket of churros, he will deliver them to your hotel or the dive boat next time you are in Cozumel. There will be plenty to share and you will be the most popular person around! Bucket (20 churros) is $30. All proceeds will go directly to Javier. Order now and have a fresh batch waiting for you.
Times are tough in Cozumel now. Javier lives on a shoestring, but that shoestring is getting thinner and thinner. This is a great way to help a Cozumel icon.
