COVID 19 Semaforo Update

COVID 19 Semaforo Update Cozumel News November 13, 2021

As of a week ago, there was nothing current posted to the ¨State Traffic Light of Epidemiological Risk¨ for our state. Today I checked the site, and the report is for November 8 through November 14.

COVID 19 Semaforo Update Cozumel News November 13, 2021

Both the Northern and Southern portions of our state, Quintana Roo, are still in the green. The green means we are functioning at 80% capacity with all the safety.

Cozumel Public Schools Returning to the Classroom next Week

A number of students will be returning to their Cozumel public schools next week. My granddaughter will be attending a two-hour class three days per week starting next Tuesday.

Following safety protocols of face masks, safe distancing, and sanitation, only twelve children will be attending per session.

Unfortunately, not all schools are opening. My son works at one that has no running water and is without power. The students registered at that school will continue online classes.

The Cozumel Sun Book Exchange

The Cozumel Sun Book Exchange

The book exchange is an enormous success. New people continue to trickle in. The number of books in stock grows as people finally find a place to store their books.

We are constantly shuffling things around to accommodate the increasing number of books.

Safety Precautions

We disinfect all incoming books and puzzles. We clean and disinfect daily. Disinfectant gel and Lysol spray are available for your use right as you enter.

In Stock Large Rice Cooker $700

The store originally catered 80% to students. There was little to no income after school closure due to the pandemic. We are constantly adding new products and services in hopes to generate income from other sources.

Body Lotion, Shampoo, Conditioner, soap, and more

Unfortunately, my hopes that the traffic to the book exchange would generate sales is not functioning. Furthermore, we have had little to no response in the advertisements in Facebook.
