Time to Register for the COVID-19 Vaccine!

Cozumel Sun News February 6. It is time to register for the vaccine

The Cozumel Sun News February 6, special Edition! It is time to register for the vaccine if you are 60 or over. Earlier this week we posted about the system that has been established to register for the COVID-19 Vaccine in Mexico. The site crashed all week, but we are finally able to access and register!

This website is to register for the vaccine only. It will be followed by a telephone call to schedule an appointment. They also ask for an email, I am assuming that will be used to confirm appointments?

How to Register

You must have a CURP number to register. These can be easily found on your VISA cards or you may follow the Cozumel Sun instructions to find and print your CURP credential. In the Cozumel Sun website, go to the section Cozumel Guide for Residents and scroll down to CURP.

If you do not speak Spanish, or need assistance scheduling, have the telephone number, and email address of someone that can take the call to schedule your appointment for you.

The registration site is https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx. I use Google Chrome that automatically translates the government page for me. It is extremely easy to complete.

Cozumel Sun News February 6 : How to Register for the Vaccine Continued

On the first page type in your CURP number and click the I am not a robot box. Click Verify my CURP.

You will next see all your data, name, date of birth. Etc. A click to the next page verifies that it is all correct and that is you.

In the next section find the State, Quintana Roo, Municipality, Cozumel, postal code 77664. (Some of you might be 77660.)

There is a place for your phone number then a second number if you need help scheduling.

The same thing occurs for the email address, yours then a place for someone else´s email that can be contacted to help you to schedule.

In the section for notes, write the name of the person they are to contact in your place to schedule your appointment. This is probably a good place to write if you are home bound and will need the vaccine to come to you.

Press ¨send¨ and the screen gives you a confirmation that you are registered, a folio number, date, time, etc. There is a message that they will contact you shortly.

If you have any problems, do not hessitate to contact me!
