Omicron is Spreading

Cozumel News January 7, 2021: Omicron is Spreading

Long lines for COVID Testing have been reported at the local hospitals. Public Schools have returned to on-line classes. Tourists continue to pour into the State without the requirement of a COVID test. Thousands of Airline flights canceled due to staffing shortages brought on by coronavirus infections. All of these are red flags that we should be on high alert.

The Symptoms

Omicron symptoms include runny nose, cough, headache, fever, and fatigue. People with symptoms should assume they have COVID-19 and isolate, health officials have said. The CDC recommends people with symptoms stay at home for at least five days.

Play it Safe

Wear your face masks. Facemasks are still 100% mandatory in Mexico. Observe safe distancing out in public. Avoid large crowds. Wash your hands and disinfect frequently.
