San Miguel Hospital & Clinic Discount Card

Through Meetup Cozumel I heard that San Miguel Clinic was issuing discount cards and were attempting to work with those of us that had Medicare coverage.

I met with Lalo Viana and Octavio Rosado from San Miguel Clinic to get the information for this article.

First, San Miguel Clinic offers a discounted rate to residents. The discount card they are distributing shows us as living in Cozumel and qualifying for the same local discount.

Medicare still does not provide coverage outside of the United States. However, San Miguel Clinic will work with your Medicare Supplement insurance whenever possible to pay for all or part of your medical bill.

Humana and Tricare will not pay for any coverage outside of the United States.

Other insurance companies such as Cigna and Blue Cross will if you have an address and telephone number in the United States (proving that you still live there). Therefore, the clinic will list your medical bill here as emergency coverage while you are traveling or vacationing. Creative invoicing. If you have any questions or want a discount card call Gustavo or Lalo 987 564 0399. The San Miguel Clinic & Hospital is located at Calle 6 Norte #132 entre 5ª y 10ª Avenida, Col. Centro, San Miguel de Cozumel, Mexico.

An Urgent Call for Assistance from Liz Toth

Friends, I have had a very unexpected crisis and a near miss. Three days here at Clínica San Miguel, although excellent services and doctor, they have gone out of my price range.

I am usually trying to help others, so it is difficult and humbling to request for me. I will get through this and hope to start working again next year with my new training.

However, this expense knocks me out of the park. It also puts me in danger. If your heart is offering help, I send heartfelt gratitude to each person.

I love living in Cozumel and have known so many kind hearts here. Thank you. It has come to my attention that sending donations to me at PayPal works better. Liz.toth@gmail.com

Thanking you all in advance,

Liz Toth
