El Cedral Festival of Santa Cruz de Saban April / May

- Celebrating the Holy Cross.
- Location: Town of El Cedral, south of Cozumel Island.
- Origin: Founded by Casimiro Cárdenas in the 19th century during the Caste War.
- Activities:
- Traditional: Religious processions, the pig’s head dance and the Holy Cross ceremony.
- Fair: Bullfights (traditional style), rodeos, horse races and popular dances.
- Gastronomy: Typical dishes of the region such as cochinita pibil and tikinxic fish.

Museo de la Isla de Cozumel
The Museum has eleven interactive rooms. There is a temporary rooms for local and international artists. Also a special room that pays tribute to 146 years of Carnival tradition.
The “Museo de la Isla de Cozumel” has bathrooms and an elevator for accessibility. The Museo is under the umbrella of the “Fundación de Parques y Museo de la Isla”.
