Historic Inauguration of Doctor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo
Sheinbaum Pardo, born 24 June 1962, is a Mexican politician, scientist, and academic. She is serving as the 66th president of Mexico and is a member of the left-wing National Regeneration Movement (Morena).
Leaders and Representatives from all over the world are in attendance including our first Lady Dr. Jill Biden. I am watching (and crying) with pride as another woman breaks the glass celing. She will continue all the rights of the people started by President AMLO, health care, pensions, education, and more. I will detail in the near future! Outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has been showered all day with love and gratitude, certain to go in Mexican History as one of the greatest.
Inauguration of José Luis Chacón Méndez,
Yesterday evening the Inauguration of José Luis Chacón Méndez, as Municipal President of the Cozumel took place in Quintana Roo Park. His term will for the period 2024-2027.
At the first stroke of midnight today, José Luis Chacón Méndez took command of Cozumel. Elected Mayor Chacón Méndez is a 44-year-old politician with a degree in Business Administration. He became the 18th Municipal President of Cozumel.
The ceremony included assuming command of the Police force, and saying farewell to the outgoing Municipal President, Juana Obdulia Alonzo Marufu.
Quoting my friend, Journalist Pepe Sanchez Guerrero de Luz “for the good of Cozumel, may this government do well!”
Medical Equipment Program Runnning Again!
We are back! Our Loaner Wheelchair is in use! This weekend a person in need was able to utilize our wheelchair FREE of charge for a broken leg! A few hours ago, I even had a request for a heating Pad.
How it Works
Use of our medical equipment is free of charge to anyone in need and as a rental to anyone that can afford it. Proceeds from the rentals and donations go towards our community assistance program. Spread the word that we are back in business.
More Equipment Available
As I previously reported, an Angel has found us and has restored our Medical Equipment loaner Program! We have received brand new equipment to replace those that we donated last year.
This week we received an additional item, a wheelchair with a toilet! We will continue to distribute any canes donated to us to seniors in need (not loan).
Our inventory now includes three pairs of different size crutches, a wheelchair, a wheelchair with toilet, a walker, and a nebulizer. (Thank you again Guardian Angel from the bottom our hearts!).
Children’s Raincoats Available
Note: We received raincoats for children! We have been distributing them and still have 15 on hand. If you know any local children in need, contact us. They are FREE!
